The water problems in the Ballito area have only become worse. The supply dam level is now below 40% with no rain falling in the catchment area. We have also had not nearly enough rain to keep the level of the pool full. Kenwyn has now been forced into taking treated recycled water to top up the pool. Due to the water we are having to use, strict indemnities have been put in place with signs in both English and Afrikaans displayed at the pool area.
Due to the severe lack of rain in the catchment area for the North Coast supply dam we are now experiencing strict water restrictions. We ask all visitors to Kenwyn-on-Sea (and the rest of Ballito for that matter) to be aware of this problem and to join us in conserving water where ever you can.
